Q. Why is the TMC Library discontinuing STATRef/StatPearls?

We are discontinuing service due to the high cost and low use of the STATRef content.  Our STATRef license includes the StatPearls test bank.  As a replacement for StatPearls, the TMC Library will be offering selected exams on the Board Vitals platform. 

Despite marketing efforts, Ebooks usage in STATRef has dropped significantly in the past three years. We offer a wide variety of ebook providers, so perhaps this has impacted use of STATRef.  Our StatPearls test bank has gained 98 registered accounts since we first offered it in September 2023.

Board Vitals is about half the cost of STATRef/StatPearls, and our license will provide practice tests for the following board exams:

• ·       NCLEX-RN (National Council Licensure Examination)
• ·       NCLEX-PN
• ·       NAPLEX (North American Pharmacist Licensure Examination)              
• ·       NACE (Nursing Acceleration Challenge Exam)
• ·       PANCE (Physician Assistant National Certifying Exam)
• ·       ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)

Access to Board Vitals will be available through out A to Z Databases list as of 7-15-2026.
